Job: 5 large compression modules for an offshore platform.
Equipment Specs:
Each module includes a Smithco Engineering fan cooler and control panel supplied by Applied Control Concepts.
2 modules - Caterpillar G3616TALE gas engines and Ariel JGC/6 three-stage compressors, each rated at 4375 hp (3262 kW) at 1000 rpm and deliver 25 MMscfd (0.82 m³/day) from 90 psig (6.2 bar) suction to 1290 psig (88.9 bar) discharge for gas lift service.
2 modules - Caterpillar G3608TALE gas engines and Ariel JGZ/2 single stage compressors, each rated at 2370 hp (1767 kW) at 1000 rpm and deliver 33 MMscfd (934,456 m³/day) from 1250 psig (86.1 bar) suction to 3020 psig (208.2 bar) discharge for gas injection service.
1 module - Reliant synchronous electric motor driving an Ariel JGD/4 two-stage compressor, rated 1250 hp (932 kW) at 1200 rpm and delivering 7.94 MMscfd (224,836 m³/day) from 10 psig (6.2 bar) discharge for flash gas service.
The Bottom Line: WPS, Inc. had the project capability to handle this large job for international industry leader ConocoPhillips.
